Go check it out. We think you will like it. Collide Magazine has always wanted to offer dynamic content on the web as well as in the print magazine. They have done a great job and it looks really good. You can see articles from the mag plus bonus extras as well as online only articles. If you use media in your church the new Collide site is definitely one you want to bookmark.

You may have noticed that Kent and I changed up the look of the Video Podcast background. We are taking advantage of the green screen we shoot in front of to feature different backgrounds each week. This week the image comes from Igniter Media’s Igniterbacks 03. It is City Birds 1. Let us know if you have a suggestion or want to submit a background for us to use. We are open to using more than just the stuff we have on WorshipHouse.

Our seasonal tab is still up. This is the time of year of when there are a lot of ’smaller holidays’ so we want to help you find the media you need quick. We know that not every church wants seasonal media but if you do, check out the SEASONAL TAB. Right now the two sub-tabs are for Memorial Day and Father’s Day. There isn’t a ton of new media for these yet, but there will be more soon.

Check out the seasonal tab and browse through. Since there aren’t as many options as say, Christmas, you can pretty much watch all the mini-movies there and find the one that works best at your church.

I always enjoy videos about a parable of Jesus. Expio Productions has 6 new videos that tackles several parables from the perspective of the secondary characters. They are dubbed “Unfair Parables” because in each one we hear from the unlikely or lesser known character in the story. I laughed out loud while watching Unfair Parable 3, which comes from the perspective of sheep #99. Another great thing is that all 6 videos are only $5.00 or $20.00 for the WHOLE SET! This is a great deal and would be great for a small group series on the parables or a bible class.

This Sunday is Pentecost. If your church follows the liturgical calendar you may be celebrating it this week. I am excited to celebrate Pentecost as it is a great reminder that God gave us His Spirit after Jesus Ascended. Unfortunately this year Pentecost falls on the same Sunday that many churches will be celebrating Mother’s Day so it may get the short end of the deal. But if you are using some media for Pentecost I would recommend PENTECOST from THE WORK OF THE PEOPLE.

These guys are funny. The Skit Guys have been traveling around doing humorous and dramatic pieces all across the country. Now they are taking their creativity and talent to the video camera. Check out the new piece for Mother’s Day.
