Can you believe it’s already February? Many churches and youth ministries will be doing messages and series based on the topic of love. Here’s some new resources for you to check out:
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, at WorshipHouse we are VERY proud to not only bring all the best media ministry companies together in one place, but to also be a means for you and your church to get your art out to the world. Our Independents category is one of the highlights of our website for me. I am constantly looking for new filmmakers and graphic designers that have created compelling visuals for their church or ministry and want to share them with the world.
I want to give you an example of the quality of our Independent films: check out “Visual Scripture” by Jeff Horch. Jeff is one of our new Independent producers and is a man after my own heart – taking Scripture and bringing it to life! I think we need more and more Scripture videos.
Also new in our Independent section:
- “Fear” by eleven72
- “Treasure” by Masaru’s Matchbox
- New motions and a Narnia countdown by Round Rock Studios
- Worship Backgrounds based on the iPod ads by Phil Graves
What a month! As you can see, “Psalm 139” is now the #2 overall best seller due to “Sanctity of Life Sunday”, which was yesterday. Some churches are observing this on January 29. If that’s you, check it out!
Yesterday my church showed the video clip “I Believe“. I’ve seen this video a lot and sometimes forget how powerful it is when shown in a corporate worship setting. Good stuff!
There’s a growing buzz about the release of the new movie, “End of the Spear“. I mentioned the impact that it’s prequel had on me in my November 9th blog. I’m sure many churches will at least mention the movie, if not put together a message series to go along with the movie’s release. If you’re looking for a good video clip to use with something along this same theme, check out “Heart of God” by WorshipFilms.
I also must mention a new product to the WorshipHouse store – Worship Image Gallery. For a limited time only, you can get this amazing resource featuring over 700 images for only $40!
Hello and Happy New Year! I hope you guys had a great Christmas. My family and I hit the road over the holidays, visiting family in Georgia and South Carolina. While in South Carolina, I got to play with the band at Don Chapman’s (WorshipIdeas.com) church – that was a blast.
On the way back to Texas, we stopped off in Nashville to visit with my friend Thomas Rose and his wife, Dita. Thomas is the worship leader at Mosaic Nashville. My friend Chris Kim, a worship leader in Maryland happened to be staying with Thomas, so we all got to hang out. Chris was in town to help out with the Passion ’06 Conference.
I was lucky enough to get in and be able to attend the opening session Monday night – it was amazing! It started out with David Crowder, Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin and Charlie Hall all leading worship together, followed by Louie Giglio speaking.
We then had Tim Hughes (UK worship leader who wrote “Here I Am to Worship” and “Beautiful One”) lead worship in our small group. We topped the night off with a concert by the David Crowder Band. Good times.
Now, I’m back in Dallas and we at WorshipHouse are hard at work bringing you new features and improved functionality of our website. Much more to come soon!
