How To Feel In America Today: New Small Group Short Film!

Written by Dale on January 18, 2011

Want to step outside the box? The New Short film (and it is a film at 36 minutes long) was made by passionate story tellers who love art. It is called How To Feel In America Today. This film is described as, “A 36-minute experimental short film dealing with abortion, anger, and compassion.”

I think this would be ideal to show as a movie event night for young adults (or really any adult group). Since it is only 36 minutes it will allow you time to have discussion afterwords. You can see the powerful (and artfully designed) PDF download on the product page to get a feel for the discussion questions.

This film is not afraid to present tough questions about a topic that is tough to address. And yet it still manages to do it in a very non-confrontational way. I guess that is amazing power of telling a good story. This film looks at the story of two women, but does a great job of telling a bigger story about compassion and justice in regards to how we treat other humans.

Check out the Trailer HERE and if you feel like you need to see the full 36 minute film we can send you a low res screener to help you decide before you buy. We think this would be great for your church to show in a small groups setting and spark discussion. Let us know what you think!

New Small Group Downloads

Written by Mo on August 24, 2010

Earlier this month we added some great small group curriculum from The Hub to WHM. Until now they’ve only been available as DVD sets. Starting this week we have the individual sessions from the Philippians series by Matt Chandler (The Village Church) and the Song of Solomon series by Tommy Nelson (Denton Bible Church) available as digital downloads. In the coming weeks, we’ll be making more of the curriculum from the Hub available as individual downloads. In the mean time, head over to their producer page to see everything they have to offer.
